Vladimir Melnikov
Vladimir initially completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in French literature from the Royal Military College of Canada, where he enrolled in the Regular Officer Training Plan with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), after which he served between 2015 and 2023 as an Infantry Officer.

Besides field command, leadership and operational experience, he has obtained a Master's in Business Administration and has worked as a project director for specialized equipment procurement for the Canadian Army, during which he had close work relations with innovation drivers, technology developers and the private military industry.

He then transferred to become a Legal Officer with the Judge-Advocate General (JAG) of the CAF and is currently completing his legal education at the University of Ottawa’s Law Faculty. He recently attended the 88th CEDAW at the UN in Geneva, regarding the elimination of discrimination against women, and has a strong interest in International Public Law, International Humanitarian Law, as well as the overall protection of human rights
